Be pragmatic in the use of available space
If the aim of the new transport lines project is to encourage more use of public transport and thus reduce the number of cars on the road network, the extension of the tramway network should include park-and-ride facilities. One possible location would be between the Saint-Maurice Pellevoisin metro station (red line) and Caulier (yellow line) on the roof of the motorway. This would allow commuters to leave their cars and continue with either metro line.
From a non-specialist's point of view, the location seems well suited, as the motorway is practically covered, only needing a roof and a car park on top. There are railway tracks on one side and office buildings on the other, so a garage would probably not cause any significant visual disturbance to local residents.

Taking into account the residents of the adjacent neighbourhoods, by making a combination of park+ride (in the short term) and residential parking (in the long term), this infrastructure would also contribute to taking little used cars off the street. It could also serve as additional parking for stations at a metro stop. Even for passenger pick-up and drop-off.
What MEL can learn from Venice

Lille is not Venice, but the problems are similar. There is not enough space for the number of cars to park and circulate. Residents and visitors of Venice use short and long term car parks and travel to the city centre by tram (with the People-Mover).We propose to build a similar infrastructure over the motorway, with the two metro lines within walking distance.
