Our list
Moving towards a federal Europe with Volt
Follow us throughout the year as we build our list for the European elections and select our two frontrunners.
A transnational list
Parties participating in the european elections have to field a gender balanced list of 79 candidates. You might have been following the electoral reform adopted by the European Parliament last year, which is currently being blocked by the Conseil of the European Union. It included a transnational list - a list made up of one candidate from each EU member state. It is a first step to overcome the 27 different elections to elect the European Parliament and move towards a more transnational approach. Sadly it will not see the light of day for 2024.
It is still a great idea, so at Volt we would like to make a step in this direction and have one candidate from every EU member state on our list in France for 2024. It means finding one national of each EU member state living in France and willing to be on our list as a symbolic candidate. Not so easy? Help us to show that it's time to overcome nationalistic elections for the European Parliament!
How can I present myself as a candidate?
To register you in our pool of candidates, we have prepared a document containing the information we need, including :
- Basic personal information
- A photo
- A passport copy
- A declaration of honor (last two pages of the document below)
- The validation that you are on the french electoral list
You can be a symbolic candidate (nothing to do, except paperwork) or actively help us campaign. Our goal is to find the best 80 candidates so even if we surpass the number, you can still sign up and help us complete our transnational list..
